Important usage note (Auto-close caution)
The SeeStar S50 can attempt to close the arm automatically. To avoid the shield being dislodged or contacting the arm, remove the dew shield before storage or extended inactivity.
- The arm can auto-close after approximately 10–15 minutes of inactivity if the SeeStar isn’t actively tracking a target.
- The arm may also close automatically when the battery drops to around 5%.
Material & finish
This dew shield is 3D printed in durable black filament. Minor surface texture (such as faint layer lines) can be normal with 3D printed parts and does not affect performance.
