A solid pier is only half the equation—your pier mounting plate (or mount adapter) is what connects your equatorial mount to that rigid foundation. Starfield pier mount plates are designed to make mount swaps easier, improve clearance for polar alignment, and keep installations clean for both portable and permanent observatory setups.

Starfield Uniplate Mount Adapter (Universal)

The Starfield Uniplate Mount Adapter is a precision CNC-machined aluminum solution designed to securely attach many popular equatorial mounts to the Pier-1000B portable pier, the Starfield Optics Anti-Vibration Steel Pier or a custom observatory pier.

Two Sizes (Choose the Right Plate)

• Standard: ideal for many mid-size mounts and pier top plates.
• Large Observatory Model: for larger pier tops and observatory installations where you want more coverage and flexibility.

Compatibility 

The Uniplate is commonly used with mounts from iOptron, Sky-Watcher, Celestron, Explore Scientific, Takahashi and others. If you’re unsure, contact us and we’ll confirm fitment.

Do I need a universal plate or a mount-specific adapter?

If you plan to swap mounts, change setups, or want maximum flexibility, the Uniplate is a great choice. If you already know your mount and want the simplest install path, a mount-specific adapter can be ideal.

Will this work on a custom-built observatory pier?

Yes—many customers use these plates on custom installations. If you send your hole pattern or top-plate dimensions, we can help confirm fitment.

Does the Uniplate add height?

Yes. The Uniplate listing specifies that it adds 1" of height for clearance above the pier.
