Get that Deep Space Widefield shot!
The Starfield Optics Gear70Q is crafted for astrophotographers seeking high-quality optics and a flat field across the entire frame. With its 70mm aperture and premium quadruplet design, this apochromatic refractor minimizes chromatic aberration, providing sharp, true-color images of deep-sky objects.
Featuring a 350mm focal length and a fast f/5 focal ratio, the Gear70Q excels at wide-field imaging, making it perfect for capturing expansive targets such as large nebulae, star clusters, and galaxies. When paired with an APS-C sensor, the Gear70Q’s field of view is ideal for framing popular objects like the Andromeda Galaxy (M31), the Pleiades (M45), and the Lagoon Nebula (M8), providing detailed, edge-to-edge sharpness without the need for additional field flatteners.
Building on the success of the Gear60Q, the Gear70Q offers a larger aperture for enhanced light-gathering power, delivering greater detail on faint deep-sky objects. Its use of FPL-53 glass ensures exceptional color correction, allowing you to capture crisp, artifact-free images, even with demanding full-frame and APS-C sensors.
Standard on all Gear series a functional hand and carry case is included. The case has been designed to hold accessories. Place your camera, and control unit in the case, and enjoy that there is a cut out for your focusing motor to remain of the telescope. Grab and Go made easy.
Key Features:
The flat-field optics provide uniform sharpness across the entire image plane, making it an ideal choice for DSLR or dedicated astrophotography cameras. Whether you're capturing the vibrant colors of nebulae or the intricate details of galaxies, the Gear70Q ensures every shot is a masterpiece.
Technical Specifications:
Compact, portable, and built with precision, the Gear70Q offers a perfect balance of high performance and ease of use. Whether you're an experienced astrophotographer or just getting started, the Gear70Q delivers consistent results every time, with the ability to frame iconic deep-sky objects on an APS-C sensor.
Widefield imaging at a new level!
The Starfield 60mm quadruplet f/5 Petzvel APO will take your wide field imaging game to new levels.
The development of the GÉAR60Q telescope placed a great emphasis on achieving very high standards in terms of its optical and mechanical quality. It features a built-in corrective element within the focusing tube, which is positioned at an optimized distance from the main objective. This design is specifically optimized for astrophotography, ensuring that the camera is automatically positioned at the correct distance for optimal sharpness across the entire field.
The telescope boasts 2-element lens with FPL53 as the APO element, resulting in exceptional color correction. Even bright stars are clearly visible without any color fringing. The 2-element corrector, built into the focus tube, ensures consistent sharpness across the entire field. Additionally, this apo is compatible with cameras featuring full-frame sensor with its 44mm image circle.
This 300mm Quad has the features that should be standard on all astrographs. A 2.5" focuser with a camera angel adjuster, also known as a manual rotator, also boasts a tilt adjustment plate. Integrated handle for accessories and a long dovetail plate round out the package.
Multicoated optics are standard and each Gėar series telescope comes with a soft case with die cut foam. The case has been designed to accommodate the optional focusing motor, or a Pegasus Astro or ZWO focusing motor, and a spot for your imaging camera.
The Optional focusing motor can easily be disengaged to allow for manual focusing with a simple twist.
